About World 11 Development

World 11 Development was set up in Bristol to create more opportunities for children and families to take part in football and community activities.

We believe that cost or circumstances shouldn't be the reason someone misses out.

Our Story

World 11 started through working with people from different backgrounds and seeing how useful football can be for bringing people together.

What started with football has developed into something broader. We wanted to create something that could give children the opportunity to play, while also offering something useful for their parents and families at the same time.

That's where the idea for World 11 Development came from.

More Than Football

Football is at the centre of what we do, but it isn't the only part.

While children take part in coached sessions, we can provide English classes, a community drop-in space and guest workshops for parents and families.

It means everyone can get something from coming along.

Our Aim

Our aim is simple: to make it easier for children and families to access football, learning and opportunities within their local community.

We want World 11 Development to grow around the people who use it, introducing new activities and opportunities where there is a need for them.

Education & Alternative Learning

World 11 Development CIC aims to support children and young people who face barriers to mainstream education through inclusive learning, sport and mentoring opportunities.

Building on the experience developed through World 11 ESOL Limited, our approach combines education, physical activity and personal development to help young people build confidence, develop essential skills and engage positively with learning.

We are working towards expanding our provision through partnerships with schools, local authorities and community organisations.
